Your hosts Michelle and Ian welcome you to the beautiful alpine region of Hanmer Springs, North Canterbury. We are delighted to offer you a range of options for your stay including powered and unpowered tent and caravan sites, motor-home sites and comfortable cabins.

Question not here?
What are the rules around dogs and pets?
Small Dogs are allowed in Motorhomes & budget cabins only, dogs must be on a lead at all times around the camp & please pick up after your dog.
No dogs in Smithy cabin.
No dogs left in rooms unattended.
Dog minding during the day ask at office.
Is there a linen fee?
You can rent blankets from the office $5 pp.
The Self contained cabins & the Smithy will be fully made for guests who don’t have their own bedding.
Yes there is a NZMA discount?
Yes just show us your card!
Our Facilities and Services
Our Hanmer Springs holiday accommodation provides everything you need to be self-sufficient – all you’ll have to do is sit, back, relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the Hanmer Forest.

Michelle and I have lived the last year traveling around nz looking for our little piece of paradise to call home.
We have found it in a beautiful peaceful spot amongst the bell birds, forest walks, bike tracks and bridle ways.
Only 4 minutes from the amazing Hanmer Hot Pools and everything else this alpine village has to offer.

After losing our home & business from Cyclone Gabrielle in Feb 2023,we left hospitality & decided to travel NZ in our Motorhome. We have stopped in Hanmer Springs on many occasions & after visiting The Alpine Holiday Apartments & campgrounds location we instantly fell in love with it.
We hope to offer a comfortable camping experience for families to create those special holiday memories! We look forward in hosting you soon 🙂
